Statement by the President Section

Welcome to the Department of Arid Land Agriculture, Faculty  of Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture. The Arid Land Agriculture Department was established in 1395/1396 H as one of the Faculty of Meteorology and Environmental Studies. In 1405 H the name of faculty was modified into Faculty of Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture as a result of the big role of the Arid Land Agriculture.

The Department concerned with providing the qualified experts in science and technology to meet the needs of Agricultural development plants in Saudi Arabia.

The Department has interested in the development of the plant and animal production and quality besides the application of the modern agricultural technology such as biotechnology, breeding, unconventional agriculture under the arid land conditions.

The department has strong relationship with society and its service through the application of scientific research results to serve the community.
