The most important feature distinguishing the Department of Arid land Agriculture is its stong correlation with the society either the agricultural producers or the large governmental and/or private agricultural companies and institutions.

The department aims to produce graduates with high quality cleverness of the scientific and practical competencies and having an ability to compete in the Saudi market and also the international market. The department participates also in solving the society problems through interaction with society by a large group of specialized experts from the staff of education members in the department, and also it carries out many research projects that have been pointing to discuss and solve problems of the agricultural production.
